Color Film

“Color Film” is a 35mm color film photography series shot on Fujifilm, documenting a journey from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. More than just a visual record, the series captures the vibrant interplay between each city’s renowned art institutions and the life that exists beyond their walls.

This body of work contrasts iconic artworks with the presence of everyday people and urban objects—infusing static displays with movement and context. Rather than following a strict narrative or purpose, Color Film takes a more intuitive, observational approach—much like Albert C. Barnes’ unconventional method of collecting and arranging art.

Through this loosely structured lens, the series draws subtle parallels between two historically rich cities, offering glimpses of how public life and timeless art continuously inform one another.
